JVP congratulates National Students for Justice in Palestine on largest national conference to date
Jewish Voice for Peace congratulates National Students for Justice in Palestine on the occasion of their fourth national conference. The conference, titled "Beyond Solidarity: Resisting Racism and Colonialism from the U.S. to Palestine," will take place October 24-26 at Tufts University.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the UN General Assembly today, presented a black and white, and upside down world view in which aggressors are victims and human rights violators deserve applause. Consistent with his now predictable approach to diplomacy, Netanyahu deployed fear-mongering and Islamophobic language to deflect attention from Israel’s aggression in Gaza this summer, and its ongoing occupation and illegal siege of Palestinian civilians.

Jewish Voice for Peace condemns the death threats and hateful slurs targeted at Ohio University student leader Megan Marzec due to her recent video calling on the university to divest from the Israeli occupation.

In the days since the murder of Michael Brown, a young, unarmed African-American man who was shot and killed by a police officer, the eyes of the world have turned to the city of Ferguson. The community has risen up in the face of brutal repression to protest the racism and injustice African-American communities throughout the US face from centuries-old, systematic, and increasingly militarized police violence.
