[Oakland, CA December 10, 2010] Investors are going today to the office of retirement giant TIAA-CREF to demand divestment from Caterpillar, Inc. because it profits from the illegal destruction of thousands of Palestinian homes.
Meetings with local TIAA-CREF officials or protests outside their offices are planned for a growing number of cities, including New York, Washington, Princeton, Detroit, Chicago, Lexington, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle.

I just attended a meeting of the Bay Area Chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace, a human rights organization I have belonged to for many years. What up until now has always been a peaceful gathering of human rights advocates to discuss, strategize and share information, was targeted by a group engaging in disruption and violence.

The Israeli press is reporting that Caterpillar is withholding the delivery of tens of D9 bulldozers—valued at $50 million—to the Israeli military.A suspension of the sale of bulldozers is what we have been asking Caterpillar for over seven years now. Jewish Voice for Peace statement on making it on the Anti-Defamation League's list of top ten "anti-Israel" groups
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is at it again. They just came up with a list of the top ten most influential anti-Israel Groups in America, and Jewish Voice for Peace makes the list. We appreciate the honor, except that the ADL--as usual--got a few things wrong in describing us.
