Chicago Chapter

Jewish Voice for Peace-Chicago Chapter

We were founded in November, 2000 as Not In My Name, a predominantly Jewish group dedicated to working for a just peace between Israelis and Palestinians that is based on equality, international law, an end to occupation, and respect for the common humanity of both peoples. In December of 2005, we joined Jewish Voice for Peace.

If you live in the Chicago area, we hope you will join us in working locally and nationally on this important cause.

Attend our weekly Vigil

Every Sunday for almost a decade we have held a weekly vigil from noon until 1pm at Water Tower Park (830 N. Michigan Avenue) in Chicago. All are welcome to join us to stand up for justice in the Middle East. We are there if the temperature is at least 20 degrees and if there is no downpour.

Need a Speaker for Your Event?

We have a pool of experienced speakers who would be happy to speak or lead a discussion at your church, synagogue, mosque college, or other groups.  Contact us at info@jvpchicago.org.

Our "Events' list at Yahoo

If you so request, we will put you on our email events list.  The JVP-Chgo-Events list provides info on upcoming JVP or other Chicago area events of interest (not necessarily endorsed by JVP-Chicago) relating to Israel/Palestine.

How else can I help?

As mundane as it seems, we always could use cash to maintain our activities (we may donate our time, but the printer does not). On line donations can be made directly to JVP - Chicago by clicking here.
