JVP San Francisco/East Bay Chapter
Next Chapter Meeting : 'What is Going on in Israel?'
This month's meeting will feature activist and scholar Dalit Baum. Known for her work developing whoprofits.org, Dalit will share her perspective on recent political trends in Israel, and the implications for our work as JVP. She will cover the expanding demands of the ultra-orthodox to control secular society; the organizing done this past summer about the economic conditions in Israel; and the new laws against Israeli citizens working in solidarity with Palestinians on the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.
Dalit is an Israeli feminist scholar and teacher. She is now a regional program coordinator of the Middle East program of the AFSC, and works with the Economic Activism for Palestine Program of Global Exchange.
