Created by the American Friends Service Committee, EWO is an attempt to make tangible the true human cost of the Iraq War.  The lost lives of California servicemen and servicewomen are represented by a pair of combat boots, one for each lost life.

JVP members stood vigils to watch over the exhibit during the late night and early morning shifts, and took part in the reading of the names of servicepeople and Iraqi civilians at the concluding ceremonies.  Below, Reverend Diana Gibson, of JVP parter and exhibit host Multifaith Voices for Peace, provides concluding remarks, after which "Taps" was sounded.
