The South Bay chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace turned out at the Hyatt Regency hotel and the Santa Clara Convention Center on July 2nd to support the hotel workers' efforts to form a union, in the face of the Hyatt corporation's opposition. Over
three hundred people demonstrated for several hours in front of the Hyatt. Jewish tradition has a strong history of support for labor unions and workers' rights.
JVP-South Bay joined with many other community groups in supporting the workers. Here, one of the JVP demonstrators meets with one of our long-time allies from the San Jose Peace and Justice Center.
