Jewish Voice for Peace is deeply alarmed at the crisis building in Jerusalem over the last several weeks as terrible violence mounts. We mourn all the lives that have been lost, both Palestinian and Israeli. Early this morning, four Jews at prayer were brutally murdered in a Jerusalem synagogue and on Sunday a Palestinian bus driver was possibly lynched.*

JVP congratulates National Students for Justice in Palestine on largest national conference to date
Jewish Voice for Peace congratulates National Students for Justice in Palestine on the occasion of their fourth national conference. The conference, titled "Beyond Solidarity: Resisting Racism and Colonialism from the U.S. to Palestine," will take place October 24-26 at Tufts University.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the UN General Assembly today, presented a black and white, and upside down world view in which aggressors are victims and human rights violators deserve applause. Consistent with his now predictable approach to diplomacy, Netanyahu deployed fear-mongering and Islamophobic language to deflect attention from Israel’s aggression in Gaza this summer, and its ongoing occupation and illegal siege of Palestinian civilians.
