See the map below to find Palestinian-led and coalition actions near you, then use this toolkit for sign-making resources and other tools for joining in-person actions.
By Thursday, use this toolkit to participate in a virtual sign action against the expulsions and to show up in solidarity this Nakba Day. It includes instructions to make signs, take a photo, and post on social.
Over 200,000 people signed the petition to Secretary of State Tony Blinken, demanding an end to Israel’s illegal evictions of Palestinians and demolitions of their homes. Our JVP Action team is working to push Members of Congress to apply pressure on the U.S. State Department. 15 have already spoken out, but it should be 535.
Follow the up-to-date thread of all the members we’ve seen speak out, and if your representative isn’t on the list, call them immediately. And everyone should call to make sure your representatives support the Palestinian Children and Families Act, which would condition U.S. military aid to Israel. The $3.8 billion a year we send to Israel directly funds Israeli injustice in and beyond Jerusalem. We must shift U.S. policy from protecting Israeli impunity and funding Israeli war crimes to holding Israel accountable.
It is our responsibility and mandate to bring in our fellow Jews who are freshly waking up to the horrors of settler violence and dispossession in Jerusalem, and to invite them to the kind of remembering that resists the lies we’ve been fed, creates real solidarity, and prompts powerful action.
Invite your mom, your childhood best friend, and all your cousins to this panel, co-sponsored by JVP and featuring Mohammad El-Kurd, Majd Kayyal, Sandra Tamari, and Sumaya Awad who will unpack the history and ongoing reality of the Nakba. Need more information about the Nakba? Our Facing the Nakba curriculum is designed to educate about the Nakba to Jewish audiences.
