JVP is deeply concerned about the increasingly violent and tense situation on the ground in Israel/Palestine. In recent months, escalating incidents of state violence against Palestinians and personal violence against Israelis have fueled anger in a region already fraught with trauma from this summer’s assault on Gaza, frustration with the dead-ended peace process, and decades of Occupation.

On December 4, United Auto Workers (UAW) 2865, representing over 13,000 graduate students, readers, and tutors across the University of California system, will be casting a vote for or against boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS.)

While SodaStream has announced plans to close their West Bank factory, we continue our boycott until SodaStream demonstrates that they are no longer profiting from displacing Palestinians and abusing their labor.
“BDS campaign pressure has forced retailers across Europe and North America to drop SodaStream, and the company’s share price has tumbled in recent months as our movement has caused increasing reputational damage to the SodaStream brand.”
