Ways to Give

JVP is a base-building organization. The vast majority of our annual budget comes from tens of thousands of members who share our vision of a world with safety and liberation for all.

We don’t rely on corporations, billionaires, or governments to fund our organizing. We rely on people like you to sustain our work and maintain our political independence. Our donor-members are active partners in the movement for justice.

When you contribute to JVP, you join a thriving community of people who share your commitment and resolve, and are building real, material power to end U.S. complicity in Israeli apartheid. We’re in this struggle for the long-haul. We rely on people like you to keep us moving forward in building thriving communities of anti-Zionist Jews organizing for Palestinian liberation. We invest in this work together.

Here are some ways you can contribute:

A great start is to join Jewish Voice for Peace as a member. If you prefer to send a check, you can mail us:

A key way to to support JVP is to become a sustainer, by making a monthly contribution. You can make a monthly recurring donation in any amount from $3 upwards, by checking "Make my contribution monthly" on our contribution form.

Every contribution helps sustain JVP’s campaigns and ongoing work.

Thank you so much for considering Jewish Voice for Peace in your legacy. We deeply appreciate that you would want to support JVP’s work and mission as part of your family legacy, and we will be proud to continue to honor you and your family in the work ahead.

There’s a saying in Judaism, l’dor v’dor, that means “from generation to generation.” This saying is used when passing down traditions, values, and rituals. Here at JVP, we are ensuring the legacy we leave the next generation is one of communal safety and liberation for all. We will keep building a strong movement of anti-Zionist Jews organizing for Palestinian liberation — and for everyone's liberation — because we know there is no freedom for some of us unless it’s for all of us. When you include Jewish Voice for Peace in your estate plans, you are taking an active, and personal, role in guaranteeing that we can do everything we can – until Palestine is free.

You don’t need to have a large estate to leave a legacy gift. Large or small, legacy gifts can benefit your family and JVP in your name. Whatever challenges we face or wins we secure, your future gift ensures that JVP can continue to fight for the simple idea that all people are inherently equal.

If you’re interested in our legacy giving, we’ve included a brief sample language you can use here; and encourage you to reach out to us at info@jvp.org for more materials.

If you’re interested in talking to JVP about your plans, please email info@jvp.org.

A matching campaign is when a donor agrees to match all donations up to a specified amount during a specific timeframe. You’ve probably noticed that we often raise money through matching campaigns. That’s because matches are motivating to some of our donors and can help raise more money than might otherwise be possible.

If you are interested in learning more about how you can participate in a matching campaign – at any level – to leverage your gift by encouraging others to match it, we’d absolutely love it. The first step is to email Ari Solomon, Director of Development, at info@jvp.org.

Many employers have donation matching programs to eligible non-profits, meaning your contribution can go twice as far.

If you work for a participating employer, we'll help you request a matching gift from their employer. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.

We've partnered with Double The Donation to make it easy for you to determine if your donation qualifies for a matching gift. After you select your desired contribution amount, you will see a search option to see if your employer offers this benefit.

We are happy to receive gifts of stock. Please call our office at (510) 465-1777 or email info@jvp.org and we can connect you to our broker.

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable giving vehicle sponsored by a public charity that allows you to make a contribution to that charity and be eligible for an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants over time to any IRS-qualified public charity. There are many financial institutions you can give through pending your own personal needs in creating a DAF. Here are some financial institutions you might choose to explore:

JVP is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your tax-deductible contribution supports our ability to organize Jews into the wider movement for Palestinian liberation.

Donation Acceptance Policy: Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) solicits and accepts donations that are consistent with our mission and that support our core programs, as well as affiliated special projects. Monetary donations and in-kind donations will generally be accepted from individuals, partnerships, foundations, or other entities, provided we have general reason to believe they were given in good will, from an origin source consistent with our values and mission, and do not overly burden organizational capacity to accept. In-kind donations must be pre-approved by a member of JVP senior leadership.

Certain types of donations must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special liabilities they may pose for Jewish Voice for Peace. Examples of donations which will be subject to review include gifts of real property, personal property, or securities.

Restrictions on Gifts: JVP will not accept gifts that (a) would result in JVP’s violating or losing its status as an IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, (c) are too difficult or too expensive to administer in relation to their value, (d) would result in any unacceptable consequences for JVP or (e) are for purposes outside JVP’s mission. Decisions on the restrictive nature of a gift, and its acceptance or refusal, shall be made by the Executive Committee, in consultation with the Executive Director.

This policy is not exhaustive and JVP reserves the right to review, return, or decline any contribution at any time.

Donor Confidentiality Notice: Our online donation processor encrypts credit card information, and your card number is not visible to staff. If you opt to mail us a credit card donation, your information is shredded after processing your contribution. We will never ask for you to provide your Social Security number, Driver’s License, Passport or any other personal identity information.

We have an information sharing agreement between JVP, a 501(c)(3) organization, and our sibling organization, JVP Action, a 501(c)(4) organization, which comprises the “JVP family of organizations.” However, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade donor contact information outside the JVP family of organizations. Nor do we publicly post any identifying information on our donor base or membership without explicit written permission from individual member-donors in advance.
